uploading Antique George I Armchair
England
c. 1720
An early 18th century armchair from the crossover period between Queen Anne and George I (note the Queen Anne feet). The mahogany is a beautiful, warm color with the patina that only comes with fine antiques of this age. The arms are gracefully shaped with scroll work on the ends, and the back splat is exquisitely carved. The seat has been recently reupholstered in a simple linen. Quite sturdy and comfortable. Arm height is 27". Suitable at a desk or as an extra chair.
